In this 2*Basic Sea Kayak course you will learn everything you need to know to go out paddling safe on your own in calm sea conditions.
We will spend two full days exploring the fjord and learning the basics of safe sea kayaking, different paddle strokes, different ways to steer your kayak and self and buddy rescues.
Upon completion of this course you will receive a “Grunnkurs våtkort” (certification from the Norwegian Paddle Association), which will allow you to rent kayak gear everywhere in Norway and follow more courses or join in kayak club activities.

Group size
We keep our group sizes small, with a maximum of 6 participants, to ensure personalized attention and effective coaching for each individual.
Duration
2 days or 16 hours spread across various evening sessions.
Age
From 14 year old accompanied by a parent. Please contact us for private requests or younger families.

Accommodation
If you wish to overnight next to our kayak school, you can book your stay with our partner Ramberg Resort.
What to bring
• Warm wool underwear and multiple mid-layers, beanie and socks
• Food and warm drinks
• 1 set of spare clothes
Location
Our Basecamp and meeting point are located at the beach in front of Ramberg Resort. You can park in the public parking lot just past the resort, next to the school.
Weather conditions
We operate our tours and courses in a range of weather conditions, including rain and less-than-ideal weather. However, if wind or severe weather poses a safety risk, we will cancel the activity and provide a full refund.
